Asics Sues D&G

Sport footwear giant, Asics Corp. has sued fashion design firm, Dolce & Gabbana, for trademark infringement.  Asics claims that D&G copied an interlocking stripe motif used for 42 years on most Asics shoes, the Japanese company alleged in a trademark- infringement suit filed Sept. 29 in federal court in Los Angeles.

The case is Asics Corp., et al v. Dolce & Gabbana SRL, 08- cv-06407, U.S. District Court, Central District of California (Los Angeles).
